What do alumni clubs do?
Clubs come in all shapes and sizes, with schools in all parts of the country. While each school has its own traditions and history, clubs often face the same challenges. The Alumni Club Alliance of Chicagoland looks to support the success of all alumni clubs and networks.

- Leadership
All clubs seek to bring their alumni together for events. Whether social, educational or volunteerism, clubs look to continually bring their alumni together.
Clubs keep their alumni tied to their alma mater through communications and social media. Whether promoting their next event, highlighting news about their school or recognizing what local alumni are doing, alumni clubs constantly help spread news.
Connecting alumni to one another is a fundamental purpose of alumni clubs. Whether someone just moved to the city or has been living in the area for thirty years, alumni clubs create a forum for people to meet.
Alumni are constantly doing new and amazing things. Often they are either sharing information about open positions at their companies. On the other side of the equation, alumni are constantly progressing through their careers- alumni clubs can connect those looking for new jobs or skills with fellow alumni that can help them on their journey.
Every person that takes a leadership position with an alumni club spends time developing skills in community building and management. Developing and executing events, determining and sticking to budgets, liaising with university administration are only a few of the skills club leaders build.
